Record: 8-5-8. Was: 2. Note: Even a disheartening loss at N.Y. doesn't mean this isn't one of the teams to beat. Next: vs. Chicago, Sunday.

4. D.C. United

Record: 10-10-1. Was: 3. Note: It is feast or famine with this squad. Only one draw seems outrageous. Next: vs. New York, Saturday.

5. Real Salt Lake

Record: 7-8-6. Was: 4. Note: Still unbeaten at home ... But still can't win big games on the road. Next: vs. Colorado, Friday.

6. FC Dallas
