Salt Lake Bees clinch playoff spot
Adenhart combined with Henry Bonilla and Chris Bootcheck to toss the team's sixth shutout of the season, their first since May 1 at Memphis.
Adenhart (8-13) snapped a personal three game skid as he went six innings and allowed five hits while equaling his season high with eight strikeouts. Bonilla worked two scoreless innings and Bootcheck tossed a 1-2-3 ninth inning to close out the game.
The Bees took a 1-0 lead in the first as Brad Coon and Freddy Sandoval singled, and Coon scored on a double play grounder by Kendry Morales. They stretched their lead to 3-0 in the second on a two-run triple by Gary Patchett and the final run came home on a bases-loaded walk by Bobby Wilson in the third inning.
Coon and Sandoval led the Bees with two hits each.
