At Waco, Texas, Sam Bradford threw for 372 yards with two touchdowns, DeMarco Murray ran for two scores and four other Sooners got into the end zone in another lopsided victory over the Bears.

Beat Kentucky 17-14

At Tuscaloosa, Ala., Glen Coffee rushed for 215 yards, Leigh Tiffin kicked a 24-yard field goal with 2:12 left and Alabama held on for a 17-14 win over Kentucky.

At Lincoln, Neb., Chase Daniel threw three touchdown passes, Derrick Washington ran for 139 yards and scored three times and the Tigers beat overmatched Nebraska for their first road win against the Cornhuskers in 30 years.

Beat Colorado 38-14

At Boulder, Colo., Chris Ogbonnaya scored two touchdowns and saved another in the Longhorns' rout of the Buffaloes. The senior running back scored on a 65-yard dump-off and a 13-yard gallop, then saved a score when he chased down cornerback Jalil Brown.

Beat Purdue 20-6

At West Lafayette, Ind., Evan Royster ran for 141 yards and a touchdown and had 53 yards on four catches. Daryll Clark completed 18 of 26 passes for 226 yards and ran for a score for Penn State, which outgained Purdue 422 yards to 241.

Beat Kansas St. 58-28

At Manhattan, Kan., Graham Harrell threw six touchdown passes and shattered the Texas Tech record for career yards passing, leading the Red Raiders in a lopsided Big 12 opener.
