The bailout

Now that the great bailout has shown itself to be about as effective as a birthday-party balloon on a sinking cruise ship, I get some enjoyment out of seeing how people were warning against it as recently as two weeks ago (as I was).

Here's a video of Rep. Marcy Kaptur, a Democrat from Ohio, speaking in late September. I don't agree with all she says. A mortgage bailout would, in my opinion, be the height of stupidity in a market hungry for moral clarity.

But look at it and tell me what you think.
