Bonnie D. Parkin Bonnie Dansie Parkin was sustained general president of the Relief Society of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 6, 2002. She had been serving as a ward missionary and Laurel adviser in the Parleys 3rd Ward, Salt Lake Parleys Stake. Earned bachelor's degree from Utah State University; homemaker; previous Church callings include second counselor in the Young Women general presidency, member of the Relief Society general board, ward Relief Society president, stake Young Women president, Young Women adviser and ward Primary president; served with her husband, Dr. James L. Parkin, during his assignment as president of the England London South Mission. They have four sons.

Kathleen H. Hughes Kathleen Hurst Hughes, first counselor in the general Relief Society Presidency, was sustained April 6, 2002. Had been Young Women president in her home ward in Midway, Utah. Earned bachelor's degree from Weber State College and master's from Central Missouri State University; worked for 14 years with Provo Utah School District, including personnel director, assistant superintendent and director of special education; previous Church assignments include multistake public affairs co-director, Primary teacher, ward Relief Society presidency member and member of Young Women general board. She is married to Dean T. Hughes, three children.

Anne C. Pingree Anne Clark Pingree was sustained as second counselor on April 6, 2002. She had been Relief Society president in the Salt Lake Wasatch Stake. Earned bachelor's degree from University of Utah; homemaker; literacy volunteer for at-risk elementary school children and a tutor to Laotians for Literacy Volunteers of America; Church service as a member of the Relief Society general board, stake Young Women counselor, ward Primary president and ward Relief Society president. She served with her husband, George C. Pingree, during his assignment as president of the Nigeria Port Harcourt Mission; five children.
