Cheryl Clark Lant

Cheryl Clark Lant was sustained general president of the Primary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 2, 2005. Born in Manti, Utah, to Charles Verl and Vivian Keller Clark; studied human development and family relations at BYU; served on the Primary general board and was stake and ward Primary president, counselor in stake Relief Society presidency, ward Young Women president and counselor, and ward Relief Society president and counselor; co-founder and co-owner with her husband of a private school for children and co-founder and developer of a phonics-based beginning reading program; married John Lant; parents of nine children.

Margaret Swensen Lifferth

Margaret Swensen Lifferth was sustained as first couneslor in the Primary presidency on April 2, 2005. Born in Washington, D.C., to Albert D. and Jennie Romney Swensen; received bachelor’s degree in English from BYU; former member of Primary general board, counselor in stake Relief Society presidency, ward Relief Society and Young Women president, counselor in ward Primary presidency and volunteer docent at the Museum of Church History and Art; served on elementary and high school PTA boards and on BYU Women’s Conference Committee; married Dennis R. Lifferth; parents of seven children.

Vicki Fujii Matsumori

Vicki Fujii Matsumori was sustained second counselor in the Primary presidency on April 2, 2005. Born in Murray, Utah, to George Yasuyuki and Yoshie Matsumoto Fujii; received bachelor’s degree in journalism with a teaching certificate from University of Utah; served on Primary general board, ward Primary, Young Women and Relief Society president, and Young Women counselor; taught junior high English and was an adjunct instructor at Salt Lake Community College; married Jim Reed Matsumori; parents of three children.
