If Jazz fans had half the class their coach has they might get some respect. Right now the worst fans in all of sports.

Why cant we win? It's not the refs. They were equally bad for both teams. We almost pulled it out with those 5 3 pointers at the end. We almost had it with 12 seconds left but couldnt bury a 3 pointer.

well, i'm still going to renew my season seats. The Jazz is a young team as long as they get rid of Boozer and Okur. What were they? 11 or 12 out of 34/35 shots? They couldnt hit the ocean from a boat in the middle of the Pacific. Get rid of them. Keep AK. He had great poise with those 3's at the end.

I was hoping Boozer get fouled out...I gained my wish, but it was too late for the Jazz.

Jazz fans are the worst fans in all of sports?? That is why we do not get repsect??? What a lame comment. How are we so terrible. Because we will not cheer for a criminal like Kobe?? I will give you one thing about having a class coach. At least Sloan does not cry to the refs constatnly and make backhanded comments about the NBA via the media.

Laker fans live in a fantasy world believing their team does not receive special treatment. Some of the most obnoxious fans I have ever met are Laker fans who proudly wear a Bryant jersey and ignoring how muc of a selfish showboating arrogant whiner he reallly is. Kobe was actually stunned when after ramming his shoulder into a Jazz player last night the refs called a foul on him.

At least Jazz fans care about character in their players and coaches. It is something a Laker fan knows nothing about.
Stop the we | 7:56 a.m. May 17, 2008
We means you are on the team - you are not on the team. I'm shocked there aren't more the refs the refs the refs comments. Lakers are a better team and they deserve to be still playing.
In a nut shell... | 8:13 a.m. May 17, 2008
All we needed was Derek fisher.
Gretzky | 9:03 a.m. May 17, 2008
and you really believed Kobe's back was NEVER 100%...what a joke. they were just resting him with an excuse to get in the heads of the Jazz and the rest of you fans. the NBA is a joke.

Please tell me that Jazz fans will not be ecstatic if the selfish showboating arrogant Kobe decided to move to Utah. Will you guys turn him down? I don't think so. It's hard to digest you Jazz fans talking about character. Last night you guys showed who you realy are. Even the announcers were commenting about the classless Jazz fans at the ESA. They were throwing things at the Lakers bench and using really foul language. No wonder the announcers declared you guys " a bunch of 4 year olds with a foul language acting sophmorish".

One more thing. DWill is the only player with some heart putting his body and life on the line for every 2 points. If management does not surround him with good players next season, he might go to a team that's a championship contender. After all he deserves it.

I love DFish. I pray for your daughter and her good health. GO LAKERS!!!

Let's face it, if it wasn't for Kobe getting hurt in game 4, it would not have gone to overtime. This series would've been over in 5.

GO LAKERS!!!
Really | 10:27 a.m. May 17, 2008
I have serious doubts, very very serious doubts that Kobe had anything more than a very minor back issue. This was all propaganda that the Jazz fans played into as well as the players. The Jazz have had a real BIG problem with showing emotion, and energy at the start of games all season long. It's time to go fishing anyway. I just can't buy into basketball being played in June anyway, how ridiculous lets shorten the seasons on all pro sports and get back to reality instead of GREED.

The only player in a Jazz uniform I have ever liked is John Amechei. Jazz fans are haters and hate people like John Amechei and the state of California for what we represent.

I too heard the comments about the Jazz Fans by the TV commentators. Pretty pathetic!

Then again anyone that would boo a man for taking care of his daughter with cancer....I rest my case...

Derek Fisher is class of the league! All the best to your daughter.

Derron Williams is a great player! He is a true fighter to the end. Would love to see him in a Laker uniform!
lanmanlee | 11:55 a.m. May 17, 2008
I'm a 30 year fan of the Lakers - I really like the Utah Jazz team. Deron Williams is a GREAT player. Calm down about Boozer - he just need some more help in the paint. Boozer is a MAN!!! The Lakers were just the better team. I predicted in this section that they would win in 6. You should be proud of this team - they didn't lay down like the Nuggets did.

Take a cue from Jerry Sloan - class act - he's not whining or making excuses - they just got beat.
WOW Jazz fans | 12:52 p.m. May 17, 2008
First, you brought a blow up doll. Second, you cover one eye when Fisher was on the line. Third, you chanted "Cancer?. Last night, I heard the commentators saying that you use foul language and threw things to the Lakers bench. WOW, just WOW.. so much for your Sunday morning activities.
I've never heard | 1:39 p.m. May 17, 2008
on national TV announcers call out fans for using foul language and having no class. Only in Utah. You people keep defending your fans but everyone in the country knows Jazz fans are the scum of the NBA. I'm sure coach Sloan who's wife passed away from cancer appreciated the cancer comments about Fishers daugter.
Just need a hug | 2:10 p.m. May 17, 2008
This whole comment section just needs a big HUG! I am a life long Jazz fan and do not agree with the things that went on in the crowd. I get very involved in the game and may yell at the refs (which I think did a horrible job this series by the way)but I wish everybody would stop generalizing Jazz fans as if everyone was throwing stuff or swearing...I agree if the above mentioned comments were made that was VERY classless and those fans should not be invited back. Those type of things have no place in sports. But to generalize all fans of one team, and especially a community, is very classless in of itself. A big hug to eveyone out there. Good luck to our Jazz next year.
It's over... | 6:32 p.m. May 17, 2008
and now I'll cheer for any team playing the Lakers.

I cannot believe Memphis giving away Pau Gasol. What did they get in return? A pack of chewing gum or what. Memphis ought to get the most stupid award. Of all teams to give him to. The Lakers. That is why I dislike the Lakers so much. All these players that start out on other teams end up with the Lakers. It is like the West Coast version of the Yankees. Phil Jackson isnt that great of coach, it is just that he has all of these players that are basically given too him. To this day I havent figured out what was going through Memphis' head in GIVING away Pau Gasol. I could have handled it if it wasnt the Lakers. Then Derek Fisher going to the Lakers. Should have insisted that we would let him get out of his contract on the understanding that he could go to anyone but the Lakers. It just keeps on happening. Jabbar started out in Milwaukee, but ends up a Laker. Shaq starts out in Orlando, then goes to the Lakers. Pretty sick. I almost feel like the NBA is bound and determined to have a great team in LA. ALWAYS.

Hey kwt!! You dumb or just ignorant?

Kobe-played for one team in career, lakers

Fisher- drafted by lakers, played 10 of 12 seasons in la

Walton- drafted and only played for lakers

Farmar- Drafted and only played for lakers

Sasha- Drafted and only played for lakers

Bynum- Drafted and only played for lakers

Turiaf- Drafted and only played for lakers

So what is your contention? The lakers essentially netted odom and pau for shaq (butler->kwame->gasol). You guys draft Boozer? How about Korver? Okur? Harpring? gosh... it looks like we draft and develop our talent and YOU go free agent shopping like the yankees. 1997 was the last time the lakers made a major free agent signing (shaq)... i guess that answers my question, though. You are just dumb.

The Jazz are a great team and gave the Lakers all they could handle. I do disagree with Kobe faking his back injury. Those of us who watch him play all the time never see him grimace much unless he is truly injured. The man has a WILL of IRON that never quits. He is relentless.

The reason many of the LA fans have generalized all of the Utah fans for the classless attitude of a few is due to the nice , wholesome church going perseption we have of your citizens. When hearing about the whole Derek Fisher situation with his child and people mocking his family and chanting cancer, I took it very personal because my mother in law is fighting for her life with uteran cancer. It is only basketball. You not only hurt D. Fish but many in the same arena who probably know someone with cancer. Very uncharitable!!!!

As for Kobe and the rape charge that was dropped; Any team in the NBA would take Kobe If there was any chance.....And I mean any team. So stop using the same lame comment in LA we care about character but we are not moralists!!!!
