They closed the store up here in Seattle so there won't be any shopping for us.

Surely it should be possible for someone at the paper to make sure table are lined up properly...
Sad to hear Seattle being made the loser of yet another team moving so as to get a free stadium at taxpayer expense.
The NBA should be ashamed of itself.

Looks like the Mavericks are making some moves to fix last season's disappointing ending. The West keeps getting tougher. And if the Spurs corner Corey, watch out, Jazz (who can't defend treys)!
If the Jazz can't improve in this off season, let's hope the injuries to Memo and Kyle were some of the reasons their performances in the post season were sub-par for them.
As for Boozer, maybe the Olympics experience will help him get over the hump. He's certainly not shown the steadiness we got from Malone. He has the ability to match Malone's stats year over year, but falls short somehow. Heart? Too rich to care?
The Jazz got taller through the draft. Whether that helps over the next few years, well... (You can't teach height!)
In spite of the Jazz's roster shortcomings, and a lack of overall height last year, they still came just a few points short of a title attempt. That says something about the organization. It'll be another interesting year, I think.

Mavericks improving? The re-signed/overpaid for Diop (who played with them most of last season). Diop is the only player who defensively has the "potential" to help the Mavs. They resigned Barea, who is about 5'6 in heels, and only plays garbage time. They signed Gerald Green to a one year deal because of minimal interest from other teams. Green is another player who is in the league due to the infamous "potential" that he has never lived up to. They are essentially flat from last year and we know where last year got them with J. Kidd. He is now a year older.
The Warriors got worse losing Davis. The Clips got better but won't be good enough since they will be losing Magette. Magette may or may not go to the Spurs who are 1 year older and were clearly too old last season. All their old role players did not get it done and Magette won't necessarily solve that since he plays the same position as Manu Ginobli.
The West is not really much better if any. The Jazz generally have all young players moving towards their NBA primes playing together for another year. A chance.
