Africa is in a sense our second home. Thanks for taking me there with this article. I left Africa three years ago after spending almost 12 years (off and on) there. My husband and oldest son have a video of their adventures down the zambezi river. Next year, we hope to go pick up another son who is serving a mission in Capetown, South Africa. Vic Falls is but a small portion of a continent rich in wonders and ironies, worth every penny to see.

All of Africa is awesome but Victoria Falls definitely holds a special place in my heart.

I have been there twice--it is extraordinary. I have friends in Zimbabwe and worry about them every day. The Zimbabwean people do not deserve the violence and economic deprivation they are currently experiencing.

I too, have been there. Africa offers so much from the beautiful scenry, to the exotic animals and birds, the beauty of the people and the marvelous sight seeing trips. I recall the Zambia Sun. We stayed there as well. What a gorgeous resort. I loved it and would so much like to return. It is a magical land. Thanks for helping me recall the wonders of South Africa.

Went to Vic Falls in April/May 08 w/family and friends, the views, sounds and feel of the falls is incredible.
We also went to the Lion Encounter that was a lifetime memory not to be missed. Along with the morning elephant rides with breakfast in the bush. Wonderful people, never felt threatened just sad for such energetic and kind people, hate for them to be in such a tough condition. Also take the sunset cruise, the photo opportunities are outstaning!
Make sure to do at least a short safari, probably need a couple days to get a feel for it. Africa is a place to stick with you, in your soul, and your heart. We've traveled around the world and can't wait to get back. No matter what, have fun!
