One of the best moves Utah Jazz organization has ever made in history.

DWill - just don't be like AK - get the big bucks and then forget how to play! Glad you are staying in SLC and hope you can influence others to come to Utah that would help you bring home a championship. I wish you the best of luck.

This is great news, isn't it? We've got Deron at the helm and the other pieces will drop into place. It's a great start to a great summer. Now let's find those last couple of pieces that will put us over the top!!!!

Great that Williams is staying in Utah. I've always liked the Jazz's way of playing, Sloan's coaching and the team's choices of players. Deron, certainly, is a Jazz kind of player. Hopefully, he will deliver that elusive NBA championship that all of us Jazz fans wish for.

When SLOAN is enamored with a player, you can bet that player is worth every penny you can pay him. Kudos to both D-Will and the Jazz for getting this done.

Now, everyone quit worrying about next year's possible player defections and give the team good vibes in your thoughts. Let's D-"will" this team to a championship (at least get to the finals). That will take care of whether anyone wants to defect.

Congratulations D-Will. We love you in Utah! You are truly a classy character and a great contribution to our team and community. You really earn a lot of cred by sticking around all summer, showing the fans that you really do love it here, not just when there is basketball to be played and money to be made.

When are the people who write comments in the sports section going to realize that "classy" is not a classy word? It is the same mentality that uses "like" and "awesome" in every other sentence they speak or in this case write?
C. Boozer would love to be offered a contract with Miami, it would mean his family wouldn't have to travel to the exciting world of Utah each year, they could be closer to the medical facilities that treat his son.
Classy is Awesome!! | 10:47 a.m. July 19, 2008

totally obscene.

After O'Connor and Co made the henious mistake of picking DWill third in the draft, I was worried about where this team was going. I failed to take into account how Jerry Sloan loves strong, hardworking PGs and Sloan has obviously built DWill into a perennial All-NBA candidate. So when that happened, I was worried the Jazz would refuse to pay him what he was worth.

As for the rest of the team, if Boozer wants to go to Miami, that's fine by me. It's probably not a coincidence that Boozer comes to the same coach who made Karl Malone great and all the sudden he's an all-star candidate? Let's just get some bigs upfront who won't wilt and miss wide-open shots for the entire sixth game of a playoff series while Williams tries in vain to win the game by himself.

We love you D-Will! And we are SO HAPPY you are going to be here for the next 4-5 years!!!! We are looking forward to it and only hope the rest of the team will live up to their potential as well. GO JAZZ!!!!

Excellent. So long as Deron is on this team, I have faith in them. I hope Booz stays, I hope Korver stays, but D-Will is the must have. Those guys can go, and we'll be okay.
NOW, I know this irks a great many people, but I don't care. Let's give a fond farewell to Sloan. Yes, he was a great coach...ten years ago. The league is different. Deron says he likes Sloan because he's a professional, but Sloan ruined his rookie year, pissed off Ak, and never gave CJ a chance, and now he's as good as gone. Hopefully, with Larry Miller on the outs, Sloan will be too. This team is heading for the future, so lets dump the past.

sloan built deron?

deron was 3rd pick in the draft he was expected to be pretty good, nay very good, nay great.

doesn't deron derserve any credit?

why do obviously brainless fans like to throw so underserved credit to sloan?

Great deal for Deron! But, terrible newspaper article headline!

"granny5", AK's fall from grace was because of a change in his role; he still does great things for us, but with perennial all-stars in front of him in the rotations, he has been exposed as the less-than-max money player that he is.
Now, "RE; sweet", nobody ever suggested that Deron doesn't deserve all the credit in the world. However, many Jazz fans start to think they know best and take for granted the stability and professionalism Jerry has offered for so many years. I personally want to see him stay for as long as he would like- dynasties aren't built with first year coaches (I really don't see Doc and the Celtics repeating, though that's certainly a special case). Give Jerry credit where credit is due, because his decision making with regards to Deron's career has certainly paid off thus far. Let's go Jazz!

Please plead with Boozer to play some defense. Plead to Okur to take it to the rack more often. Plead to AK to quit crying on camera. Plead with Brewer to learn how to shoot. Plead to Millsap to stay. Plead to Hart and Collins to leave. Plead Harpring into retirement. Plead to Fesenko to stop dying his hair. Plead Korver to be consistent. Plead to Almond to get out of the D-League. Plead Koufous to the D-League. Plead Kevin O'Connor to make a trade or sign someone to help you. Plead LHM to lose some weight so he doesn't die of Diabetes Type II.

This great! We all know that boozer will stay and Oukr and Kover only if we can get the finals! so we dont need to plead with Boozer to play some defense. WE just need to play Ball and bring home the trophy. LET'S GO JAZZ!!!
