I feel so much better now. Paulson says he has his best people, the regulators, controlling the situation. The banking system is sound, he says. No need to panic, he says. Don't bother to ask for proof, just trust him. Heaven help us.

Oh, yes we can all trust Paulson. Remember the words I'm from the government and I'm hear to help? The check is in the mail and it was only a cold sore!

I listened to him today on tv. I evaluated what he was saying. I really listened closely.
And my own conclusions was; get the money out of the bank and put it in the backyard in a jar!!!!!
OH, he inspired me alright!!!
we need new leadership! as soon as possible!!!

I love that the CEO's of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae earned $18 million and $11 million respectively in 2007 and the federal government is going to use taxpayer money (read: our money) to bail out those two companies due to poor decision making.
The government is helping these bankrupt companies privatize their profits and socialize their loses. What ever happened to capitalism and what ever happened to taking responsibility for your actions? Why not make these firms suffer, let some go bankrupt, and let the strong ones prove themselves in a tough economy? That would be the healthy way to deal with this mess. This is a joke and we'll be paying for it for generations!
