Obama made reasoned and reasonable answers to the questions he was asked. McCain made jokes and provided sound bites. Typical.

I really hope that people realize that a person of substance (Obama) is far better than the alternative. I'm really not thrilled with either of them, but Obama is clearly the least worst. At least with Obama, we'll have a reasoning and reasonable person in the White House. The country really deserves better than having to deal with McCain as President.
Was fed up with this farce show | 3:40 p.m. Aug. 18, 2008
We were fed up with this farce TC PR for his church only SHOW. I thought that Pastor was NOT going to dwell on crap like McCain saying a baby's human rights begin at conception, while Obama restated his support for legalized abortion, but ask common question's that were never dwelled on before on the issue's in this Town Hall meeting, guess not. WE THE PEOPLE wanted to know about issues faceing us now, plus when they said it will be shown only on CNN and FOX, how many people have cable? also high speed internet to watch it online either?. Not many just a few. We STILL DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE REAL ISSUES faceing us today in OUR WORLD of the USA, other than one is a bleeding heart lier Obamacon liberal, and the other, is almost a liberal but close to a moderate. I feel this whole show for PR ONLY for this guy's church, was a bunch of crap, and, a waste of oil to make the power to put it on the air. How can we vote for them than?.

McCain and Obama share more than just faith. Each has also embraced socialism for over a decade.

What a great time to vote for Bob Barr.

I don't think someone saying "ummm" numerous times and looking at the ground while trying not to screw up the answer is a person being reasonen and reasonable. He looked more like an idiot who couldn't form a sentence and who's mind went blank like he forgot his answer. Maybe next time he can ask the Pastor for teleprompter so he doesn't sound like Porky Pig on the stage.

I'd take "Porky" over your "YOSEMITE SAM" (BUSHED/MCCAIN) anyday!

I was suprised, I thought Obama would be more comfortable answering questions about faith. There where a few times he seemed lost on what he was going to say.

To cartoons: Is that the best you can come up with? Bushed/McCain? Funny that Obama was the one speaking like Bush when he was trying to come up with answers. He got the stuttering and ummms down, he is just lacking the Bushisms.

I'm LDS. I want to be part of a party that treats my faith as second class.

In America, when politicians must validate their faith Mormonism is not much of a issue. I bet both candidates are glad, they didn't have to comment on Mitt's religion.
