I see a lot of people downgrading to XP over Vista especially when they buy a laptop not capable of running Vista in all its glory (Aero) but one question always remains to be unanswered... Most do not have a licence to install windows XP or use an existing license already in use on their desktop and as more and more retail outlets no longer carry XP, downgrading is just not about buying inadequate hardware (for which most of the blame needs to lie with the end user and in part to the sales associates that really do not have the knowledge of the product they are selling) but also a legal issue in terms of not having a valid license. Some HP machines for instant do not even have support for XP in their driver/support pages again forcing the user to Vista. Love it or hate it, it's here to stay... for now.
