I'll bet $12 he is NOT convicted of a felony. Seriously, if the story is accurate (I know, a BIG assumption) it is outrageous to charge this guy with a felony. He is about the opposite of the type of person society would have to worry about for bribery of officials. I'll just wait for the knock on my own door for violating Utah's gambling statutes, and reflect on how "safe" living in a police state makes me feel.

The guy was busted because $12 wasn't enough.

The should have bought the officer $12 worth of donuts and thrown in free coffee. They both could have sat there and drank the coffee until the guy sobered up.
