So a mother who stood by and watched the abuse and mistreatment and did nothing to save her 5 month old baby as he was dying will be out of prison about the same time her child would have been celebrating his fifth birthday.

The legal system needs to review its policies, and the value it places on the life of innocent, helpless children.

I agree with Parole? comment. We have some serious problems with our legal system. AN INNOCENT CHILD DIED!!! Why does this mother get parole when she did nothing to stop the death of her child. She should stay in prison longer to think about what she allowed to happen. As a parent, you are supposed to care for and protect your child, not allow someone to hurt, abuse, etc. your child. Why does our legal system not give harsher punishments to people who abuse and kill innocent children (or allow it to happen)????????
