Less room for cars | 9:38 a.m. Sept. 2, 2008
It's funny we're spending all this time and money on buses and trains when people just want to drive their cars. Who really wants to pay $10/person to go to a BYU football game when they can drive and park for probably half that? Trains and buses are nice, but in a valley that's so spread out, they just don't go where people need to go when they want to get there. It's just the way public transportation is and why so many people refuse to use it.

You said: Who really wants to pay $10/person to go to a BYU football game when they can drive and park for probably half that?"

Driving to and parking at BYU stadium takes HOURS to get in and out. It's frustrating to drive in such congestion and anything that will cut down on that congestion should be welcome. Sitting in your car for hours takes a lot of gas and in the end probably costs about the same as a bus ticket.

And this sounds like it would be useful for a lot of students just trying to get to classes, too...

Sounds like a good plan, and I'm glad they're thinking ahead, rather than just waiting till there's an even bigger problem before thinking about how to fix it.

It doesn't cost $10 per person to go to a BYU football game by light rail, trax or bus. It has never cost me $10 dollars to go anywhere by bus.

CORRUPT!! | 9:23 p.m. Sept. 2, 2008
I LOVE the idea really, BUT COME ON!!

We will be PROACTIVE about transportation but not our children getting a decent education. Utah is LAST in education yet for some reason we ALWAYS find ways to spend more on EVERYTHING ELSE!!

City leaders look at what THEY want and not what PEOPLE want.
Canyon Road needs route | 10:25 p.m. Sept. 3, 2008
If anyone from UTA reads these blogs, please add a line to Canyon Road north and south from Foothill to at least BYU campus! There are so many people over here wanting a bus route!!!
