Pretty much I have learned this the hard way. When the 1st stent was placed a year almost to the date they had to place 5 more with the 1st heart attack. Then 5 years later he had his second. six month later he died. the last 5 were the encoded stents. Yet I had a friend who had had a stent placed 15 years earlier and had done just fine in all that time. Then one day he just up and died after the second stent had been placed few month earlier.

You didn't answer how how many died within a certain amount of time of stents being placed and how plavix affected the rate of revastulation with stents. What is the rate of heart attack after the stents vs surgery? Those would have been good questions to answer also.
