With all due to respect to teens being involved in politics, I think the voting age should equal the drinking age, it all has the same outcome, stupidity.

Well the teen vote didn't elect Bush the last 8 years (except in Utah). So it seems to me that those few teens who actually did vote were some of the few that were enlightened enough to choose the right!
Teens have the benefit of some innocence when they come to vote. Those who take the time to study the issues will often times not be bogged down by the extreme hatemongering of the party hacks, often seen in the vocal portion of "adult" voters.
When I can go on internet blogs, out in school, and work and be able to express my political opinions without fear of being yelled at and chastized because I live in this narrow-minded red state, I'll believe you so called "educated" voters are far superior to us teens.

Narrow minded is the one who calls others viewpoints narrowminded. That individual has disregarded others thoughts due to their "inferiority". Your smugness belies your lack of intelligence. Others can sincerely believe something different than me. Our politics would not be so partisan if others understood this concept. The other side is not always wrong and is not usually evil. Who is narrowminded?

I'm sorry if you took my comment as smug. I agree with your interpretation of narrowmindedness and that wasn't what I was trying to convey at all.
Those who blindly follow a political party or any idea or group because their parents do or for any other reason is not a good thing. Surely you could agree with that.
I was merely trying to convey that those who don't take the time to study the issues and form their own opions and instead rely on the opinions of others because they think that's what they're expected to do is narrowminded.

Trevor, to supplement your political education, I suggest you try to sort out the truth. Politicians lie a great deal, so if you're serious about getting to the truth, question everything and check everything out on FactCheck.org, Snopes.com, or PolitiFact. Their reason for existence is to find the truth.
Trevor, don't let apathy win | 12:50 p.m. Sept. 5, 2008
You will find many who will be apathetic as you learn about politicians. Much of that apathy will beat down on you as you express your opinions. Don't let that sway you. Who cares what they think. Think for yourself. Form your own opinions. Never put down another person's opinions but also never give in to those who disagree with you. I wish you the best. I wish others cared as much as you do.

You sound like a very smart young man! Keep up the good work in all that you do. I think you will be very successful in life, especially if you take a serious interest in many topics, such as you are doing in politics.
